JAC was born at the intersection of ballet and fashion: two worlds united by precision, perfection, and beauty. Taking our conceptual core of the leotard beyond, Étoile Couture introduces a line of hybrid garments that embody the best of both disciplines.
Liberating yet refined, timeless yet new. Performance, casual, and formal wear converge into one cohesive concept. Étoile Couture is our answer to the core questions of fashion: how it looks, how it’s made, how it feels, and how it moves.
To mark this new chapter, we partnered with two extraordinary global talents: Maria Khoreva, whose presence reflects the excellence of our creations, and Levi Schechtmann, a virtuoso pianist redefining classical music by blending it with modern beats and contemporary sounds.
BODYDRESS
The signature piece of the edition, the BodyDress, is a sophisticated dress built on an integrated bodysuit base. Crafted with couture draping, it merges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technical fabrics, introducing a liberating approach to occasion wear without compromising sophistication.
Three distinct styles and silhouettes – GRÈS, TULLE CLOUD, and ÉTOILE HOSIERY – explore different fabrics and forms, each expressing the concept in its own way.
GRÈS
An ode to the heritage of Madame Grès, the legendary designer also known as a master of wrapped and draped dresses. The GRÈS explores couture draping directly over the leotard to create an elevated silhouette.
The GRÈS long dress, conceived as the very inception of the BodyDress, makes an elegant statement through the artistry of couture draping. Made from soft Italian stretch mesh, its layered construction gives the garment a gentle, grounded weight, creating a poised silhouette in motion. For a styling flexibility, the length can be adjusted by trimming the hem with scissors to make a personalised fit.
TULLE CLOUD
Inspired by the construction of classic tutus, TULLE CLOUD reinterprets layered draping into an airy, voluminous silhouette.
The TULLE CLOUD babydoll dress is crafted from lightweight Italian tulle, forming a soft, cloud-like shape with effortless movement. Paired with the midi skirt, the set creates a seamless, gown-like silhouette that grows in volume and lightness, layer by layer.
ÉTOILE HOSIERY
Inspired by the spontaneous ways dancers repurpose their tights – cutting and reshaping them into sleeves or shrugs, ÉTOILE HOSIERY translates creativity into an elevated sheer silhouette.
The ÉTOILE HOSIERY bodycon dress is crafted by ruching and draping ultra-fine yet resilient Italian hosiery, creating a sculpted form that transitions seamlessly from performance to prêt-à-porter. Layered over the leotard, the sheer construction creates a delicate illusion of transparency while maintaining comfort and freedom of movement.
TULLE PLIÉ
The signature prints of this edition were developed using sheer tulle fabric as the primary design element. To achieve silhouettes that remain close to the body while allowing complete freedom of movement, draping was developed directly on the mannequin and then translated onto technical performance textiles.
JAC X Maria Khoreva
he star of Étoile Couture, Maria Khoreva was a defining part of the edition. Her discipline, precision, and commitment to her craft set the tone for the project, mirroring JAC’s own approach to design and creation.
Behind the scenes, Étoile Couture is the work of many hands: designers, dancers, makers, stylists, photographers, producers, and creatives whose dedication often remains unseen. Every movement, frame, and detail was created by people, shaped by experience rather than shortcuts. This edition is a tribute to them, our own étoiles, and to the collective effort that brings each JAC collection into being.
Every garments proudly created by the JAC team.
